About us
The Royal Theatrical Fund supports people that have worked professionally in the entertainment industry for seven years, that are unable to work due to illness, injury or are in their twilight years.
The RTF also has an Emergency Crisis Fund to support with the cost-of-living crisis to keep food on the table, keep our beneficiaries warm and a roof over their head.
The story of The Royal Theatrical Fund began in 1839 when a group of actors decided that something had to be done to support the considerable number of actors ending their lives in conditions of appalling hardship, thus The RTF was founded and elected it’s first Chairman, Charles Dickens.
